Speech-Language Pathologist

Norah AlJunaidi, MA CCC-SLP is a 25-year-old speech-language pathologist living in Maryland. Additionally, she currently works at the University of Maryland College Park in the Social Interaction Group Network for All, and sees private clients with her new private practice, Sunbird Speech, LLC.

PAST EXPERIENCE in Speech-Language Pathology

Prior to receiving her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at George Washington University, Ms. AlJunaidi worked with a variety of patients on speech, language, voice, and swallowing.

Before that, she attended Ithaca College from 2015-2018. There, she received her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with a Minor in Gerontology.

Initially, her passion for speech-language pathology started when was in high school. She worked with her neighbor who used an Augmentative Alternative Communication Device (AAC). On top of that, seeing the impact that having a voice gave him sparked her desire to provide as people with communication. She shadowed an SLP in the special education classroom, and pursued the major from there.

Currently, Ms. AlJunaidi is so excited to start her journey into private practice, something she would never have imagined when she first learned about being an SLP!

University of Maryland College Park, SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Currently, she works as a Speech-Language Pathologist with neurodivergent college students.

PRONTO THERAPY, SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (INTERN)

Secondly, she was an SLP Intern for Pronto Therapy Early Intervention Services evaluating and working with families of children aged birth to three with developmental disabilities to provide optimal learning at each child’s pace.

UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE HOSPITAL, SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (INTERN)

Lastly, she completed an SLP Externship for UMES diagnosing and treating swallowing, cognitive, speech, language and voice disorders. Overall, she worked to increase safety, effective communication and quality of life into old age.
